I have rebuilt a Desktop computer, with an intel 845 chip set..and when i plug any usb device in, nothing happens, i went to intel.com and installed some drivers that said they'd identify it. and still nothing. I cant seem to find the drivers any where. i have windows xp home ed. on it.

I got the same board. It has 4 ports in the back, right? For me, I never had to install USB drivers. Most OS'es should have them built-in since Windows Me/2000. That is strange. Any chance USB might be disabled in the BIOS? I think you press F1 when your PC is booting up, (before it loads XP). Search the BIOS.

Worst comes to worst, you could always buy a PCI USB card for under $20...
