Compaq Presario SR1817CL. Dropped a computer, don't ask:rolleyes:. Computer works fine so far,but the case is cattywampus. Hit the soft ground and small stones on it's corner. I've looked on Ebay for a case, only found one, any where else you all can think of to look?
Thanks much.

Hi LG,
Does it need to be a direct replacement?

Any mid ATX and bigger case should do fine as long as you pay good attention to putting the stand-offs in the correct locations. Googling 'used computer case' brought me to this new one (http://www.amazon.com/10-Bay-ATX-Tower-Computer-Case/dp/B0032FANUM) for $17.99 plus shipping or another search led to one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147109) from Newegg for even less.

I suppose the decision comes down to your customer.

I bent one also last December falling on ice in my driveway as I was going to put it in the car. It was in the original cardboard box, my feet slid out behind me and the case landed almost upright with my fingers getting squished under it and the bottom of my chin landing on top of it! I had pains right down both arms, laid there on my back scared of a neck injury for about 2 minutes until the arm and neck pains subsided enough so I was able to go inside and relax some more.

Scared the bejeesus out of me!

PC was fine except for a slightly dented corner, and luckily so was my neck. The bruised knuckles (and ego) are also healed... ;)

Hi FTT, so sorry to hear about your fall! Just a darn good thing you weren't seriously hurt! I took a fall myself on the ice here too and it's not a fun thing at all. I'm just glad you are ok!
I don't think it needs to be a direct replacement but it sure would make it easier on me, at least one that's very very similar would be a huge help. The junk on the front, card reader for one and then another one with audio, usb, firewire on it. They are in the floppy slots but stand out from the front and are as wide as the 5.25 slots for an optical drive but are slimmer in height. The whole front comes off of this and that's where all the holes and slots are, plus it has spring loaded doors that cover the optical drives.
Thanks much for the links, I'll take a look and see what's up.
