I just bought new P3 733MHZ system, but it seems to run really slow. Sometimes, i can't use the internet because of the system run too slow. I understand that i have a on board video card which shared 16 out of my 64Ram. And i also try to run a 3D game but it won't run. Is my only problem is that i don't have enough memory? Or something esle i have to do?
Any advice would be highly apprecite. Thank you in advance.

If your video card is sharing 16MB of your total RAM, that means your system is sometimes trying to run on 48 MB. In my opinion, that's not nearly enough for optimum performance. I think you'd see a big boost in speed if you add at least another 64 MB. DIMM prices are really low right now so it's a good time to buy. I buy mine from Aaronix Express (http://store.yahoo.com/aaronix/memory.html), and I usually choose the Major brands over the OEMs. Please check your motherboard manual to be sure of buying memory that's compatible with your system!!!.

Not knowing what your video card is, I'm only guessing here, but you can try setting it to use 8 MB to see it that helps for the time being. This change would have to be made in the BIOS setup, so please post back if you need help doing that.

A little more information about your computer is needed such as the manufactor, the name of the game that you cannot run, and if it is a mainstream computer like HP or compaq. Have you gotten rid of all of those system tray applications that are not needed? If it is a HP it may just be the way the machine will run. My parents have bought at 633 or so MHz celeron computer from HP that is slower than my 400 MHz computer (in games and business apps) that I have built. Also is the game that you are trying to use like Quake2 where you must use GL drivers?

Thank for all the advices guys. I'm playing 3D graphic Everquest game. It ran the game before eventhought very slow. But it won't even run now since i install the whole window 98SE in the system.
