Hi, this may be a trivial problem, but a problem nonetheless, and I don't kow what to do about it.
I have an Acer Aspire and very often while browsing through sites on the web, I've experienced that the previous site I was on suddenly reappears. I've noticed that this usually happens when I keep my finger on the touch pad (or possibly release it?), but I can't really make out what I'm doing exactly when this happens. Sometimes I'm not even touching the pad, and I get tossed back to the previous site anyway. Very frustrating when trying to compose a message, for instance.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix it?

Go to Acer's website - there's sometimes a driver for the touch pad. Reload it.Otherwise it's either a bad touch pad or even the keyboard (known to screw up touch pads on occasion).
