My Toshiba laptop numeric keypad dosent work even though the NumLock llight is on. I cant type in numbers on word. Can anyone help? Tried to shut down laptop, turn off AC power, took out battery at the back of laptop and press power button for 30 seconds as someone recommends but still doesnt work!!!!:p

I know some Toshiba models have had this issue resolved by updating the BIOS. You can go here (http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp), look for your exact model, and then try updating it to see if this helps.

If this doesn't work, there may be an underlying hardware issue. Is the laptop still under warranty?
