Emma, now stating the obvioius...it seems as though your pc did get fried in that storm {or at least some part(s)}. Unplug the power to the pc including the monitor and remove the case slowly so as to not cut or damage any wires or cables and look for any discoloring marks. Then check the seating on all cards, cables, memory sticks and chips, etc. Please discharge yourself by touching the bare metal inside the case before touching any of the components inside. After doing this check the operation of your monitor on another pc. It's hard to say what may have been affected by the appaarent surge...you could get lucky and only have one part fried or http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif the mobo could've gotten whacked. Maybe someone in here can help guide you through using a mulitmeter to check for capacity on individual components to maybe suggest that each one is working or not. My fingers are crossed for you http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif Are you lucky enough to at least still be under warranty? If so, I would suggest calling your service shop or manufacturer first so you don't void that warranty. Let us know how it turns out.
