I am experiencing problems with my computer, i have just moved to a larger case, now when i power up my computer, it powers up ok but after say 10 minutes, all the lights begin to flash on the front (well, the power and standby lights anyway) and the whole system hangs until i press the power button where it resumes operation

it can do this from both Linux, windows and dos modes so the APM services under linux or windows are not started

i have disabled all APM features in the bios but am still getting the same problems

Sounds like a heat related problem. With a bigger case the fans have to work more to move the larger volume of air. Make sure the existing fans are clean, especially the CPU fan, and that all are working. Clean the heat sink fins too. Add an extra case fan if you don't already have one, and make sure it moves air the same direction as the power supply fan, and try running it with the case open for a day and see if it works better. If so, that would point to a heat problem.

If the case is normally located in a desk enclosure, you may have to leave it open, or even point a small fan into it to give it more air.

If you had everything...Where would you put it?
