Is there a discussion group where I can find information on how to remove sniffer programs from my computer?

I dont know about "discussion" groups, but if I thought there was one on my puter I would go to : http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
and scan my puter. The term sniffer programs is a very broad area ...but most "back door" programs used in that fashion are worm or trojan virus' which can be removed pretty easily.

If by sniffer you mean ad based software that 'calls home' to update itself and pass data back to its maker try either of these two sites:
