Man i am running windows 95 and the cdrom wont boot. It wont even detect the cdrom. So I look for the drivers and could not find them. Isnt there a update that I can run to run my cd rom like firmware or something like that. The cdrom is very old its like a sony 24x. Very slow. I know the cdrom works but windows 95 wont detect it at all. So what should I do? Also Im getting a error like dskyproh.dll isnt there a site where I can download this into windows 95? Thanks

This will sometimes work....you need the Mitsumi cd rom drivers + you need mscdex.exe loaded in the root directory ( in C: ). The Mitsumi drivers will work with ANY IDE cabled cd rom I've seen. If you cant get em...I can email them to you. By loading the dos drivers, Win 95 will see the drive in most cases.

Does the BIOS support booting from a CD? You need to enter the BIOS and set up the boot sequence if it does.
Are you using a bootable CD?
Booting with a Windows 98 Startup floppy will usually find a compatible CD driver.
A Windows ME program file will probably cause problems if you try to use it with Windows 95. Try using Google (http://www.google.com) to search for a site to download it from. Just put download along with the name of the dll and you should find several sources.
