To All May Concern:

I need help ASAP on how to install a Seagate Hard Drives on AMD Motherboard but I'm receiving error message like primary master or slave no 80 cable conection not installed and how can I resolve this problem from coming up on the screen? The GB of Hard Drives are 13 GB and 40 GB. I have tried every jumper setting on the Hard Drives from Master and Slave plus including the Motherboard settings. Again is there any solutions to problems that I'm currently running into?

Thank You,

From:

Hate to sound simple here, but are you using a 80 pin ribbon cable or 40 pin.....The physical connector is the same 40 pin on both, but on a 80 wire cable, there is a ground for each data line. If you have a 80 wire cable, I suggest using it instead of the 40 wire. Hope this helps.
