having trouble accessing a file from my floppy. the file is an excel file. i continually receive the error message stating 'the managed software installer failed to install the program associated with this file'. can anyone tell me what is the problem?

Sounds like the floppy disk is defective. Try another floppy with another file on it and if it works, thats your problem.

To me it sound like exel doesn't work, or it's not linked to such exel files finksoc were trying to open.
If the floppy does work, try opening exel first and then open the file.
