Hi guys (and gals)......
I had a problem come up a few weeks back...its not a big deal but now its annoying me...so thought I should fix it.
The problem: The system won't shut down....it "restarts" no matter what "selection" I make from the Start/Shut Down menu. This "occurred" all of a sudden....but since I don't shut my system down very often...I can't recall what I was doing when this showed up? It's probably some "dink" switch in the BIOS (I don't go there often...but I was in it a bunch trying to get IRQ's assigned properly...which Win98 SE does poorly). I do have all my BIOS settings recorded...and just went through the BIOS and can't find anything related to "power or power management" that is set incorrectly (or differently than before this problem occurred).
The MB is an ABIT BE6 II, BIOS flash version BEh-sh. This system is about 3 months old...running Win98 SE, updated weekly. I can't find anything on this in the MS KB....but wonder if its an OS related problem anyway? Any ideas? This has to be something simple....I just am too dumb to find it!
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
