printing problem

For some reason my printer refuses to print from Internet explorer and outlook express. I get a message taat says "The o\printer could not be found". I have run diagnostics and windows help and it works ok. Anyone out there know why this would happen? Thanks for your time.

Go to File\Page Setup and click the Printer button at bottom, see if it's set for the proper printer. I can't think of anything else.

I would doubt that it's a driver issue, but I guess it's possible.

I tried the File/Printsetup option but it still can't find my printer.
Iget an error message that says printer could not be found, Thanks for the suggestion Paleo Pete. Got any others?

I have windows 98 and installed Windows ME and didn't reakky kike it so I uninstalled it. Would that cause a problem?

Installing and uninstalling the OSs may have something to do with it.

Try reinstalling the printer driver. Sounds like your printer is in limbo, if that's possible.

Boot up in Safe Mode and remove any instances of printers in Device Manager that you can find. Then, boot up in normal mode and hopefully windoze will find and reinstall the driver.
