I have several HP Vectra VL5's to upgrade from 32mb to 96mb. I bought HP memory so as not cause any conflicts there. When I put in the additional 64mb. of memory the system will only recognize a maximum of 64mb instead of the full 96. I have already tried all the standard stuff (swapping slots, not mixing SIMM types etc.). Does anyone have any ideas?

What exact model is it? HP Vectra VL5/xxxx Series 3, 4, or 5?

According to the tech reference, "Banks A and B will take 4MB, 8MB, 16MB or 32MB modules. Use only 4MB and 16MB modules in bank C, as 8MB and 32MB modules are not fully detected in this bank. 32MB nodules are not available from HP." Hope this helps some.

thank you so much for your help. Even HP tech support didn't tell me that.
