I tried to enter all the commands in the Config.sys the way it says in the "maximize conventional memory" and NOW my video flashes every second! On/Off so I can barely see the screen. I then removed everything in config.sys, but still video is screwed up! So then I changed the settings to 640-480 and its fine, when I try to change back to 800-600, it flashes again. I'm running out of conventional memory, what can I do to correct this? I'm typing this as my screen flashes and I can barely see the scene, so excuse the typo's or non-sense!

Wow, every time I think I have seen it all around here... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
Don't suppose you could describe the flashes?
If you undid the autoexec and config changes (sure you got them all?) then that shouldn't be the cause of the problem.
Bad driver? Loose cable? Somebody fumble with the monitor settings?
Sorry dude, I'm really not sure about this one.

OK, It's GOT to be a memory thing. After I took EVERYTHING out of the Autoexec and Config.sys, still a problem in 800X600. Re-loaded windows, and I was OK, for a while. After running a short while (20 min.) and opening a few windows, it started to flash again. What I mean by "Flash" is the screen will go black, then back to whatever I was doing. Almost as it the Monitor was turned off, then on, very fast. No loss of power though.
Now, why I think this is a memory problem, is because I can run scandisk on my D: but not my C: Says I don't have enough memory. Tell me how to copy/paste mem /c and I will place it here.
Thanks,

Best I can tell you about the copy/paste question is to write it all down and re type it here. The [Print Screen] key will take a screen shot, then you can right click and paste the screen shot into an image viewer, save it as a gif, and upload it to a web based storage site such as zing, then link to it here, like I do my animated gifs. But I'm not sure if it will work in DOS.
Have you tried this monitor on another system, or another monitor on your system? That would be my first attempt at troubleshooting, prove or rule out the monitor, then go for the video card, then memory. I'm leaning toward monitor.
And what operating system are you running?
