WHEN I TURN ON THE COMPUTER MY SCREEN SIZE IS ABOUT A 1/4" OVERSIZED. AFTER 8-10 MINUTES IT RETURNS TO NORMAL. I HAVE TESTED AND EXCHANGED THE VIDEO CARD WHICH IS A 3D SAVAGE4 AND ALSO THE MONITOR WHICH NOW IS A VIEWSONIC A75F.
OTHER THAN SHUT DOWN AND START UP, THERE ARE NO EXISTING PROBLEMS WITH MY GRAPHICS. THE SYSTEM CONSISTS OF AN ATHLONK7 600MHZ-SD11 MOBO-3D SAVAGE4
VIDEO CARD. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS REGARDING.

I don't really understand what you mean by "oversized" by 1/4 inch...
If you replaced both the video card and the monitor it's hard to understand what could be causing the problem!

[/QUOTE HEY IXL, THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY. APPARENTLY I WASN'T CLEAR REGARDING THE SWELLING SCREEN PROBLEM. ONCE AGAIN WHEN I TURN OFF OR PUT THE COMPUTER ON STANDBY AND THEN RESTART IT AFTER ABOUT 10 MIN. THE SCREEN
FEATURES ie: ICONS AT TOP OF DESK TOP AND THE TASK BAR BELOW ARE PARTIALLY PUSHED OFF THE SCREEN. WHEN EVERYTHING WARMS UP HOWEVER, IT RETURNS TO NORMAL SIZE. DOES THAT HELP EXPLAIN THE SITUATION. BY THE WAY THIS ONLY OCCURS WHEN THE COMPUTER HAS BEEN OFF AS I SAID FOR AT LEAST 10 TO 15 MINUTES. BY THE WAY, I HAVE ADJUSTED ALL THE VIDEO CARD SETTINGS AND MONITOR REFRESH RATE TO THE MGFRS. SPECS. DO YOU THINK THIS COULD BE A PROBLEM WITH THE BIOS SETTINGS OR SOMETHING ELSE TO DO WITH MY MOTHERBOARD?

FIRST, PLEASE LOSE THE CAPS, IT'S HARDER TO READ AND CONSIDERED YELLING...
Thanks...
Have you tried adjusting the screen size on the monitor? Most have some kind of adjustments to change screen size and centering. I don't know why it would suddenly change after warming up, if it were only on one monitor I would think the CRT was going bad, but on two???? Hmmmm...maybe both monitors going bad??
Can you borrow a known good monitor from a friend and test it, see if it might be that both are weak? Also take your monitor and try it on another computer, see how it acts.

If you had everything...Where would you put it?
