I have Windows 98 on my computer I put Windows ME over the top. It was going ok for a while then it wouldn't let me install cd's I took windows me out and lost the sound on switching the computer on for the first time i would have to delete the sound card in add/remove programs then shut the computer down. When switching the computer back on the sound icon would appear again and i would have sound until i turn the computer back on again. I put another sound card into the computer and all is working but there is nothing wrong with the creative sound blaster 64aew card that was in the computer for it was working before i formatted the computer I installed the new drivers after taking out window ME I now have a creative sound blaster 128 card in I also still have trouble installing Cd's i would like to put windows 2nd edition on clean but i can't get information on how to go about doing this task Can you help me. I thank you in advance Hugh

Quick Guide to a Win98 Fresh Start (http://www.hardwarehell.com/fdisk.htm) can explain it better than I can.

Any further questions, we'll be glad to try and help.
