something wrong, i could browsing then the screen goes blank (black) for no apparent reason. I'm still connected to the internet, no ping of my modem line. but inevitably i have to switch off and start loading up again. could it be the monitor itself ? i've checked the power saving setting. its just so annoying not knowing when and where its going to happen, any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure the system is really malfunctioning? I've used PCs where if you go for a long period of time using only the mouse, the system goes to "sleep", but it wakes up if you hit a key on the keyboard.
