I recently put together a new (old) computer for a friend but i am having a problem with the sound.
Pentium 233 MMX
32mb PC66 ram
56k PCI Modem
ISA 1 mb Video Card (i think this is the problem)
ISA Pro Audio Spectrum 16
I tried putting a PCI sound card in, in place of the ISA PAS16 but had the same problem. The sound distorts when playing anything but midis basically and it distorts when anything moves (cursor, window, start menu) Im wondering, is this because of the ISA video card being too slow? I ask because i have a 200mhz machine that does multitasking without any problems. Any help would be a appreciated.
