MONITOR COMES A CHICKEN

k the problem is that the color on my monitor has changed to yellow, i tryed the connection's but they seem alright, also i have messed around with my graphics card settings but have had no luck, if it is ne help the screen is like permanatly yellow even threw boot up and dos etc... so its not windows...nebody got ne ideas? post em or send me a email plz! thanx

Your monitor is made up of three primary colours, red+green+blue=white. So what has happened is that you have lost your blue or red, both will give the appearance of a yellowish screen. Having said this could be your video card but it is not likely. The problem is more likely your monitor and /or cable. You should if you can check it on another computer to confirm this. Hopes this helps.

I doubt if it would be video card too, but if you want to prove it one way or the other do the same as suggested above, try another monitor on your system.

I think one of the colors is shot, and a new monitor needs to find its way to your house soon.

Should add depending on the age and size of the monitor it might be worth repairing. Average prices I see here in Canada are about $100 and this does not include the CRT (picture tube). No idea of the costs involved in the U.S.. If it is a 14"/15" or more than 3 years old,than as Pete said a new one will find it's way into your house.
