PC (64 meg RAM) using microvision 17" monitor and screen looks like theres a 'shadow' when using Windows. Display driver is s3 Inc. Virge GX2. It says it's working normally. I brought a new 17" monitor (ProView) and still the screen is blurry. Any ideas as to fixing this problem? Thanks in advance....

Hi Fiona,
Sounds like it's either the video driver or the video card itself. Try downloading and installing the latest driver for your video card. If that doesn't work, then perhaps it's the card itself. How old is your system?
I had similar problems a few months ago, not necessarily with 'shadowing', but other weird display problems. A new video card fixed it right up.
You mentioned you tried a new monitor on the system. Did you install the drivers that came with the monitor? Did you receive any software with the new monitor? If so, try installing the driver for the monitor and update the driver for the video card. If neither of these ideas work, then it might be time for a new video card.
Hang tight, and maybe some other people with have an idea or three. Hopefully, our Grand Master of them all, Paleo Pete, will stop by and have a few ideas.
Cheers,

Thanks for that Big Blue 66. The monitor didn't come with software - it's a pretty basic model plug & play type - it is using MONITOR.INF driver, as per the hardware setup option. The video card is a s3 inc. It's using the correct driver - I'll try to source another video card & install...
Cheers!
