Dear video gurus,
I have recently purchased a tv tuner/capture card, which works fine in my system, except in Overlay mode. When this mode is selected, the overlaid video displays for a second or so, and then the screen goes to coloured bars, and the whole system locks up. I have resolved that this is a limitation in my video card - and before I buy a new one, I would like to know how I tell if a video card will support overlay - i.e. which of its performance features indicates this capability? Any help would be appreciated.
Sytem details:
PC: PII,266; 64MB
Vid: Trident 3DImage 9750 AGP (4MB)
Tuner/Capture: 3DeMon (brooktree Bt878 chipset)
Chris.
