I recently reformatted my old pentium 133 to give to my kids as their machine....reformat went well ...reloaded win95 OK...but now I can't get the display to function on anything other than 16 color (not 16 bit)... there is not a possibility of selecting any other display mode (256 colors, high color, true color) as they are simply not even in the pop up window under settings....

I suspect I need to load some kind of a driver....any ideas???

Thanks in advance.....Brett

Yes, you will need to download drivers. Identify what kind of Video card you have and try searching for it at http://www.windrivers.com. If the video is onboard you need to find the number/letters on a chip.

If the driver thiny don't work, check in ADVANCED setting in DISPLAY to be sure tha the ADAPTER (your monitor) is to the model you own OR plug-and0play monitor. In some case that could be the problem of not getting all the color and resolution.
