My computer will not wake up when I move the mouse or hit a key on the key board. I have to shut the power off and then back on[witch it does'nt like] and let it reboot before I can use it. thank for any help I can get.

Welcome Rama...Are you using an USB mouse? Have you checked for conflicts(right-click on My Computer select properties and click the tab Device Manager)? Check the mouse properties for sensitivity settings and also I believe there is a choice to have the system wake by different means (mouse movement, keystrokes etc). But mostly I would reccomend that you not use wake/sleep feature of your pc at all. It is safe now to turn off your pc if you're not gonna use it for a while (it used to be bad on the pc). Your system (especially Windows environments) need that fresh boot. I suspect that you're system is "drunk" when you attempt to wake it and has a problem stabilizing to load the necessary drivers for your mouse.
