I have upgraded my motherboard to a Biostar M7VKB/KT133 running an AMD Duron 800MHz. There are 2 issues under Win95 SR2:
There is a conflict between the (32MB) Rage Pro AGP card and the CPU to AGP bridge. Device Manager is not letting me change the addresses for the video card and when I alter the settings for the bridge, I am told to change the settings for the component, even though there seem to be no jumpers available to do so. Even though a conflict shows, there is no warning sign for the Rage Pro in Device Manager.
The second problem is an error message on boot that can be OK'd through to apparently normal operation. I have seen this error mentioned before but can't see a fix. The message is: Invalid VxD dynamic link call from AT12VXAA(01) + 00027CF6 to device "VMM ", service 1AE.
I previously had a PCI Matrox Millennium installed.
2 questions therefore: does the conflict matter?
How do I get rid of the error message?
Thanks for any help.

The reason you have a conflict may have to do with the need to install the "Motherboard Resources" and "IDE Hard Disk Controllers" etc associated with the new motherboard. Usually, when I install a new motherboard, I remove the Hard Drive Controller, the Motherboard Resources, and the Advanced power Management devices in Safe Mode and let Win install the new devices (HOWEVER, THIS IS MUCH EASIER TO DO IN WIN 98 THAN WIN 95) I would recommend you convert to Win 98 SE and I bet your problems will end. As far as the error at start up...you have recently removed a program (in all likelyhood) by deleting it rather than "Uninstalling" it. To fix it in Win95, the only thing I know to do is go into System.ini or Win.ini and edit or REM out the line which refers to the program you know is deleted or removed recently.
