monitor doesnt show any picture

i have an p2 ibm pc the monitor does not show any picture when i brouht my friends and attached it to my computer it works fine what should i do

The question is a little confusing, but...

Make sure the video card is pushed all the way into the slot (yeah, I'm sure you already tried it, but try it again)

The card could be bad, try swapping cards with your friend and see what happens...
