I'd check both mfr's web sites for latest driver updates or troubleshooting tips.

Hey Wicked (Redeemer) http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
try this, My computer>control panel>display>settings. Reduce "screen area" setting one notch. How old and what size is your monitor?
If that does not work, you may have to leave it set to less then HIGH.Let us know what you come up with

They say to eat before you go to the grocery store so you don't buy so much. That doesn't work at the liquor store does it!
Also check that the refresh rate is set to something that is compatable for your monitor. That can be found under the advanced tab in the display applet in control panel. It is on the adapter tab. until you've got it working set it for something like default (adapter default)
You can also boot into safe mode and see if there are any duplicates listed in device manager. If there are remove the duplicate listings. If you need more detailed instructions post back.

Check it out...i Can reduce the screen area.I dont think the refresh rate has to do anything with this.I found that when i get to windows(when i type in my password) i cant type anything at all.If i start typing anything, after typing about 10 letters or more, the computer starts beeping.I can still press the caps, scroll, and num lock.By doing that i can make sure that the computer did not freeze. Now when i had the ATI video card, thats when i got into windows and the computer totally froze.Im still trying to figure this out. Please try and help me.....thanks!

Your operating system is still freezing, but you still have some low-level hardware telling you that the keyboard buffer is full because the keystrokes are not being accepted. The Caps, Num Lock, and Scroll operate independently of the computer. The keyboard has its own processor.
I have seen several recommendations that hardware acceleration should be off for 233 MHz and higher processors. You might try finding a video benchmark program and find out if your card is running at specifications with hardware acceleration turned to low.
