What is the exact error mesage (which file is damaged)?
Which operating system are you using (Win98, ME, etc)?

1st, ditch that keyboard.
Plug in a known working keyboard and use the [F8] key or hold down [Ctrl] to get to a boot menu and choose Command Prompt Only. At the C:\> prompt type scanreg_/restore using a space in place of the underscore ( _ ) used here. Use the cursor keys to choose a registry backup made before you installed the keyboard software. That should do the trick, if not you may have to try and edit system.ini in DOS...
here's part of my system.ini that shows the keyboard lines that should work for a standard keyboard:
oemfonts.fon=vgaoem.fon
system.drv=system.drv
drivers=mmsystem.dll power.drv
shell=Explorer.exe
user.exe=user.exe
gdi.exe=gdi.exe
sound.drv=mmsound.drv
dibeng.drv=dibeng.dll
comm.drv=comm.drv
mouse.drv=mouse.drv
[b]keyboard.drv=keyboard.drv
*DisplayFallback=0
fonts.fon=vgasys.fon
fixedfon.fon=vgafix.fon
386Grabber=vgafull.3gr
display.drv=pnpdrvr.drv
scrnsave.exe=
[keyboard]
keyboard.dll=
oemansi.bin=
subtype=
type=4
system.drv=Standard PC
[b]keyboard.typ=Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural Keyboard
mouse.drv=Standard mouse
aspect=100,96,96
display.drv=Matrox Mystique PCI
[386Enh]
ebios=*ebios
woafont=dosapp.fon
mouse=*vmouse, msmouse.vxd
device=*dynapage
device=*vcd
device=*vpd
device=*int13
device=*enable
keyboard=*vkd
That should give you some starting points, to edit the file in DOS you'll have to change to C:\WINDOWS (cd_windows), and type edit_system.ini. [Alt] [F] [S] will save the changes, [Alt] [F] [X] will exit the DOS editor. Get to the command prompt by the method described above.

Ever wonder why Bill Gates KEEPS a jar of vaseline HANDY???????
Yep, return the lines in system.ini to the standard parameters and it should do it, that is of course if the keyboard install didn't delete the standard windows files, if it did you may have to look for them on the Win Cds or possibly get them with sfc (the system file checker)... Yes, I know "doom and gloom" but many of these "free" add-ons can really screwup a Win install in ways that are very hard to recover from....
Also after you get back up you may want check out some info on "spyware", try here: Gibson Research (http://grc.com/)
