Default CD Audio Player

I recently installed Windows Media Player 7. It has now made itself the default player to play my CD's. I went into Folder Options and File Types and according to that Winamp is my default player for CDA files. In Windows Media Player I unchecked the option for playing CDA files. During installation I didn't see an option to configure it to play CDA files (although it offered every other choice ie. wav, wm, au, mpg). How can I stop it from taking over as my default CD Player?

have you tried setting your preferred cd player software as default?
there will be that option somewhere in its settings..

I have had the same problem, and it is really ticking me off - I cannot find anyway to change it (the above method doesn't work because there is no option!) Any suggestions?

windows media player 7 does NOT work (correctly)or at all in win95 (in case that is your OS).

I have Win98se, and I think I know what the problem may be. The option 'AudioCD' under the file extensions tab of folder options is no longer visible. I ran RegEdit, and saw that the AudioCD section is assigned to Media Player 7. Does anyone know how to get this option back onto the file extension selection. Or, can I change the registry to make it say what I want (i.e. Real Jukebox)? I can't stand Media Player, especially because of this little trick. The website sea69 directed me too really didn't answer the questions. Thanks
