I'm assuming you have a SIS530 MB with integrated video (correct me if I'm wrong). If so go to the following link, download the driver and install on your system.
http://www.windrivers.com/company/sis/index.htm

Go to control panel->system->device manager->display->select device and
click on properties, then click on update driver.
After that try to change the setting for the color options.

Let us know, if it works.

....download a card from internet ....

How does that work? You must not have a dial-up connection, 'cause cards won't fit through my phone
line. Gotta check out that new-fangled 'broadband' stuff. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Do you have windows 98 cd or any cd from SIS for the video ?
Try this. Start windows in safe mode(press F5 or ctrl key before windows logo screen).
Now Go to control panel->system->device manager->display and delete the device which will be your video. Reboot the system and see if windows load any driver for your display.
