broken video playback on games.

[I need help]

I have a new intel celeron 766mhz, a spacewalker motherboard, 256mb ram..I'm not a huge game player but my kids play a few learning games...all but 2 work without problems...On the first I'm getting broken video playback, its really spotted bad...the second the sound is kind of slow..I seem to exceed the requirments for the games...Does anyone have any sugestions???

Make sure dma mode is set in the device manager, should be under cdroms. There should be a option, check dma mode.
