Ok, here goes...
After resetting the colors so my son can play his game, the monitor has lines all over (horizontal) and we cannot fix it!!
I don't know if that's what started it, but since then, when we turn the computer on, it boots up, the Windows logo/clouds is nice and clear, then once it's done booting up, there's tons of black/white horizontal lines. If I look real hard thru the lines, I can see icons, but there's no way to click on them, and I just end up turning it off. Don't know much about computers. Please help http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Not to sure if this will help but try this.
(If I am wrong you will do no harm. Someone else will more than likely come up with something better)
Boot into SAFE MODE (usually F5 (straight into SM) or F8 and choose the correct option).
Right click on desktop then choose PROPERTIES go to settings annd reduce to 640x840. Reboot computer. If it now boots OK, go to same as before: properties\settings\ then -advanced\adapter\change\display list of all...\show all hardware\Standard Display. Then uninstall graphics drivers and then re-install them.
