gladiac mx freezes suddenly with directx !!!!

when playing games like half-life, messiah, or so my gladiac mx freezes and i have to reset. i got a A7V, duron 850, 256mb, win-me.
also i´ve loaded all the newest drivers, firmwares and bios. So why does does this s..t happen ????(((
while checking with the prog s.a.n.d.r.a. it also freezes !!
what can i do ?? is it my agp-slot ??? please help, and thank you !!!

Sometimes the Asus Mboard just doesn't like to be user friendly.

Your post tells me you have an AGP Video Card. Which is good.

Try leaving the #1 PCI slot empty (open). Give that a try and we'll go from there.
