Fiery....

Give the nVIDIA Denonator drivers a try and see if you don't like them.

Go to this website www.bootdisk.com (http://www.bootdisk.com) . Scroll down to Drivers and select popular. Select Video and then select nVIDIA.

These are the best multi-purpose drivers for the nVIDIA cards and benchmark very well.

Luck.

Update: Just found the nVIDIA Detonator Drivers v22.50 for download at
overclockercafe.com (http://overclockercafe.com) . These should be the latest drivers available from nVIDIA.

Click on Downloads when you get there and scroll down the page.

Luck.

Thanx Ranchdog. However,I just read a load of posts on Madonion forum about the 22.50 being pretty unstable compared to others.Everyone reckons that the 22.40 version is just as good and more stable.I am off on a hunt for them now.Your recommended sites dont have `em.And I cant access the page for www.bootdisk.com (http://www.bootdisk.com) for some strange reason!!.Ty once again.

Found the nVIDIA Version 22.40 drivers at guru3d.com (http://guru3d.com) Also there is a Geforce Tweak Utility that is useful.

These files are in the zip format (compressed) so a person has to use Winzip or something similar to unzip them after they are downloaded.

Luck.

Thanx ranchdog,I`ve got them now,but they arent the most stable of drivers,my games are ok but when i am on the net,I get loads of random lockups!.Going by the forums at Guru3d,this is a common problem, and not easy to solve.I have went back to drivers version 12.90 to see if that cures the problem.

I've got a g3 ti500 and i've used all versions of the det drivers sincethey've ben available-in my system curently the 22.50's are the best, giving me a 300point boost in madonion's benchmarking program and better frame rates/quality in games.

It really depends on your board type, different manufacturers reference board designs will respond differently to the driver's-just depends on how they assembled the components and the quality of those parts.

I would search the Guru3d's (http://www.guru3d.com) forum for someone with a board like yours and a similar system configuration and se what drivers they had luck with.

And by the way, it's not necessary to use the " reply with quote " button every time you respond. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif
