View Full Version : back again dvd problems.

hey guys back once again got everything working but i have a new problem. when i was building my new pc, i installed a dvd player, now it works fine with most movies but i tried to watch one last night and for some reason the movie was scetchy. as if in putt-putt mode. i checked the refresh rate the screen res. and the playback speed all checked out good, i have no clue what could be going on now. help me if ya can. thanx. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/cool.gif

could be the CD it's self or the optical pick-up is a little out of adjustment could also be that the tracking motor and laser pick-up arm is sticking.

Go to start/settings/control panel/system/ look for your dvd player and click on it and go to the setting tab and check dma. See what happens

so youy think that direct memory accessing will help better? i can give it a shot. the player is new but i wont say no the the sticking comment, i'll check it out. thanx again.
