Sound

I have lost all sound on Aol exept an annoying bleep. Also DVDs will play but only sound is a continuos whine. CDs play just fine.

Please post some specifications on your machine and operating system. Also were there any modifications made to your computer, e.g. hardware or software lately? The more information you provide, the better that someone will be able to assist you.

Sorry about the dble posting. I have a Time "package" (1000 7 PQ proffessional) it is a 1G Athlon Tbird with DVD drive and CD burner with 256 ram.Soundblaster 1024, Asus v6800 GEFORCE. Haven't downloaded anything in months it literally stopped working overnight !!
