hi I'm trying to connect an old super vga 640*480 to a compaq presario 1250 because the screen died on me and I can't find the appropriate driver. Not much of a savvy, so any help would be appreciated.

I take it that this is a monitor you are connecting...wekk you should be able to get by with selecting a generic SVGA monitor in display properties, you may need to adjust the rehresh rate to something like 60Hz......

thanl you for the info. I got another monitor so I don't have any pbs now. Thank you for making the effort of answering my desperate cry nonetheless.
