When I initially boot my computer the sound of course is fine. After a period of time, it could be minutes or hours the sounds just stops. It will return when I reboot. Someone told me it might be the memory or RAM. Can someone please give me some suggestions on what to do?? thanks

Right click "My Computer" go to device manager and then to
"Sound, Video and Game controllers" and then delete all references to your sound card from there. You would be better doing this in Safe Mode, this will ensure complete un-install of drivers - At boot up press f5 or f8 and choose option 3 (safe mode)
