Hiccup in MP3 creations

System info: Win2K, 933mhz, 320RAM, Creative CD-RW, using CD-ex to burn MP3s from CDs. I keep getting a gap about 1 or 2 seconds from the end of each track; the audio stops for half a second and starts again. When I play a CD using Windows CD player, I don't get that. Anyone ever heard of that before? Got an easy fix? Any kind of fix? Thanks http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Use a different ripper and encoder. EAC [Exact Audio Copy] is an excellent ripper and also comes packaged with the Lame encoder. http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/

I downloaded the EAC program, tested out an mp3, and had the same gap problem. Anyone else have any ideas?

Is this happening with all cds you're trying to rip or just a specific one?

If it's happening with various software programs maybe something is up with your cd drive.

The gap happens on every track I rip; whether its one at a time, a range of two consecutive, or several in one session. Creative doesn't have any Win2K drivers available at this time, unfortunately. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

Sounds like a strange problem. The only other suggestions I have is to check all the options on the ripper.

For some reason, this problem kept happening using CDex. Now using Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum to rip and no longer have the problem and still using the same burner.
