i have a hp 952c but i have it hooked up int o parallel port but it also has usb port, if i hook it up to a usb port will it print faster

Don't think so. The print head can't move any faster whether it's hooked to a Parallel port, a USB hub or the cat's tail...The printer can only print so many pages per minute no matter what the interface is.
I read a comparison somewhere, but don't have the link. The general consensus was that USB printers are no faster than parallel, and if they are it's not by a noticable difference. 1/4-1/2 page a minute maybe.
If you had everything...Where would you put it?

Depends on the parallel port mode as well. If you set the port to enhanced (EPP/ECP) there shouldn't be much difference in speed, as Pete said.
