Good morning,
One of our users has been experiencing random drops in connection to the mail server. This seems to have started when we upgraded one of our servers from NT 4.0 to Windows 2K Server, though that is our file server, not mail server. Our mail server was previously in house, running on NT 4.0. Since, we have moved our email to an outside hosting company, and the problem still exists. Her user account is no different than any of ours yet she is the only one with the problem. The pc is a Quantex 266mhz, 32mb RAM, 4GB hard drive, running Windows 98SE. All network settings are as they should be. The network card should not be the issue, as connection to the file server is not dropped, only the mail server. Has this happened to anyone else? What else could be causing this?
