Hello!

Two days a go, i have installed an old scanner in my computer. No problem there, but when i started to use it, it would shut down the computer when ever i closed the program that i was using to scan the photos. I installed onother program and the samething happened. Can somebody help me? Thanks a lot for your attention.

What kind of scanner is it (parallel, SCSI, USB)?

Had it worked before, on this computer/configuration?

What brand is it?

Do you have the latest drivers for it? (Check the manufacturers website for the drivers)

It is a Trust Imagery 4800 Economy scanner connected with ISA interface card. It was in my father's office and it's kind of old. I have downloaded the driver from the scanner's brand site. I am running on windows 2000 and they don't have a driver for it, but advise the nt4 driver for this cases which they say it works.
Thanks again!

Well then I would start to suspect that the interface card may be the problem...a few more system specs may be helpful here.
