Epson 480 printer prob

Hi all I am hoping somebody can help a friend of mine
has a Epson 480 printer its just out of warranty
its developed a fault, the fault came about when
he cancelled a print job, the print job is still
in the epson status monitor it just won't delete
he has tried reinstalling the driver he's even
reinstalled windows the problems still there
any idea's.

Try uninstalling the printer in Safe Mode, power down , unplug the printer for a while, unplug the cord from the printer to the computer, reconnect everything and then power up and reinstall the printer...

I tried as you said with no difference my last print job
is still shown in the printer status monitor, somehow
this monitor program is remembering the cancelled print
job, are these print jobs stored anywhere like the registery

Have you checked in the Print spooler Folder?
It’s “C:\windows\spool\Printers” if there are any files in the folder Just delete them.
