Contron Panel exception errors

When I reboot I get two error messages though it does not seem to affect performance I want repalce the missing dlls if possible.
The 1st msg reads: Error while windows was working with Control Panel file C:\Windows\System\Main.CPL

I cleared the second message by removing a logitech start up item.

It read: After hitting OK the following message appears: Error starting program The Eventex.dll file is linked to missing export
comnctr.dll.?b check support notifications @CPointingDeviceDriver@@QAEHPAUHWND_@@@Z.

THE SYSTEM FINISHES BOOTING AND WORKS INCLUDING POINTING DEVICES (MOUSE).

I belive I need to rename a specific dll and extract teh dll from the windows CD. I run Win98SE.

I am totally confused by your post! Start up errors like you have described are nearly always the result of improperly deleting a Win program.....ie not using the Control Panel /add remove programs to get rid of a no longer used program or the programs' uninstall feature.
