DVDROM on Inspiron 7500

i just flashed my DVDROM to get rid of the region restriction and now the DVDrom stops working. i can't read cdrom anymore but the funny thing is i still can play audio cds.

any idea what's wrong?

If you mean you used one of those "questionable" and certainly non-oem approved utilities to attempt to circumvent the region protection, you may have just ruined your dvd drive (at least for playing dvds)...

If you provide some more info, I can probably give you a better guess, but based on what you said, you're sorta outta luck...

I would check out the website you got this particular flash program from and see if they have a "ok, now it don't work" section...

On the other hand, if it's a prog you got from dell, they should be able to help you out...
