I have a Featron 600 (canon?) pentium 133 running WIN95 that doesn't always run the POST on power on. The hard drive spins up, but no display, no beeps, nothing. I have also tried boot from the A: drive, but it never gets that far. Power down and power up doesn't help, then, out of the blue the crazy thing boots and runs fine. Ive had it apart to check all connections, checked the BIOS for anything strange, reinstalled the operating system but still has the same problem. When it starts, it runs great, but I can't figure out why it wonk't start. Any help would be appreciated.
When I've dealt with other types of equipment that ran on batteries with this kind of behavior it was usually dirty battery contacts. I usually clean the contacts with a pencil eraser and then wipe with an acohol soaked cotton ball. Wait until competely dry before trying.

Well........my guess is either the power supply is going or the hard drive is going.........both require a tech to fix in all likelyhood.
