It appears a file has been deleted in error. When switching my windows 95 laptop on i get the message "cannot find system.ini file", the machine then switches off, any ideas please

i guess once you've got your system.ini.file back go to start>run>type in msconfig>click ok this will take you to your sys.config.utility make sure you put a check mark in sys.ini.file and win.ini file. need to also make sure scan reg & sys.tray &anti virus are checked you need these every time the sys.boots. Read recently in a post that 95 doesn't have msconfig...??? Good link, geebee...added it to collection.
