AMS Tech won't turn on

I have a AMS tech Travel Pro laptop. I can not get the screen to come on. There is what looks like a Top hat with a A in it in the Status window where you see if the ac cord in plugged in etc. But the screen will not turn on. Please Help I am sure it is something very simple.

Don't know who makes the AMS, but if they have a web site they probably have the activation of your monitor in the manual you might find on their site.
