I have a Dell Latitude C600 Laptop. It was doing fine
until I tried to load Windows 2000 on it. I could not
get my computer to act right when I did that. So I
formatted my hard drive and tried to put my windows
98 back on it. When finally, after I load win 98
on it, I cannot get it to dectect my sound. I can
not hear sound on it. The drivers that I got for it
will not operate right on it. Is there anyway that
I can get my computer back to where it was? I have been
working on this for days. Please help! The computer
supposed to be loaded with ess maestro drivers. I went
to Dell website and tried to down load the drivers, but
my diskette is not big enough so how can I download these
drivers if I do not have a big enough floppy disk?Maybe my
sound drivers are corrupt. Help!

Does the laptop have a CD drive?

Or you can use a file splitter, http://www.tucows.com/system/filesplit95.html or http://www.freewarehome.com/System_Utilities/File_Management/File_Splitting_t.html

Ok, since you have a CD on the laptop, download the drivers and then burn them to a CD...if you do not have a burner handy then use one of the links I gave to grab a file splitter...that way you can split it to more than one floppy, most will allow you to reassemble the file without having to install the splitter program on the destination machine.

After the D/L to the first disk it should tellyou that the disk is full and to insert another one and so on until it is complete? It will not get it all on one diskett.
