My system slows down, or Freezes up totally, the only way to get out is to ctrl-alt-delete applications or sometimes I have to just power off, once I re-boot the it runs at normal speed again.
Could I need more RAM I have 48mg, My system is pretty loaded, but still have 64% of hard drive space.
Anyone have a clue???

Sorry to hear about the problems. You'll need to post more information for us to be able to help, starting with basic information about the system, and also what has recently changed in terms of hardware or software.

As Charles indicated, more info is needed. But a wild guess is that you have an application that runs continuously and is eating up your memory and resources stack. When you see it slowing down, press Ctl-Alt-Del to bring up your list of running tasks and see if you can identify the various programmers running and killing any that you don't recognize. Doing this could cause your system to hang and die, but no harm will come to it and you will have to reboot. You could also just copy that list out and post it to this forum and we can probably tell you a little about the programs you have running and recommend the one to kill.
